Scorpio Rising - Jesus/Scorpio crosscut sequence
While Kenneth Anger was editing Scorpio Rising, an educational film intended for a Lutheran Sunday school was delivered to Anger's apartment by mistake.
Amused by the kitschiness of the film, Anger decided to incorporate the footage into Scorpio Rising. The Lutheran church sued Anger for copyright violations, but the court sided with Anger ruling that it qualified as a 'fair use' since it was used in satirical context.
The clip is presented in the movie's original 1:1.33 aspect ratio. It was excerpted from Magick Lantern Cycle, the British Film Institute's Blu-ray anthology of Kenneth Anger films.
